OUR GARMENTS
All of our garments are the end result of extensive conversation, trial fittings, testing and feedback from professional ballet dancers. Dancers who spend 50 to 60 hours a week in dance wear become very conscious about the “feel” of their clothing. High performance garments actually feel better to train, rehearse & move in. Garment “feel” has a remarkable impact on the wearer’s confidence to push their boundaries – boundaries of movement, duration and form. High performance garments will make a difference for you.
FIT
The shape and fit of our clothing is very special. It is a reflection of the requests we’ve received from the elite dancers during the creation of each style we offer. For example our leggings are made from one complete piece of fabric. They are seam free through the center front creating a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing garment. The leg lines on our leotards have been developed for comfort and confidence.
Because the garments are digitally printed and the patterns cleverly designed, we have eliminated a number of the seams found in standard dance wear. Keto Dance wear is manufactured with minimum seams. The nature of this design process, requires that each garment piece is individually cut by hand before being sewn up. Digital pattern printing ensures accuracy of fit, whilst hand manufacturing ensures a high quality of care in every garment.
FABRIC
After an extensive period of trialing fabrics, we believe our current pick is clearly the best available, suited for its purpose of being made into dance wear. The fabric “feel” is a delight. Every wearer immediately notices the difference from traditional dance wear. Every garment is currently made from the same silk-like feel. It’s a blend of 82% Polyester & 18% Lycra. A stretch fabric composition which provides superior performance properties. It is lightweight, hardwearing, quick drying, and maintains good shape retention throughout it’s working life.
Each garment we produce is fully digitally printed with specific placement print. By employing a sublimation technique the print is of the highest resolution. Because the dyes are infused into the substrate at the molecular level, rather than applied to the surface level (such as with screen printing and direct to garment printing), the pattern is “through” the fabric and will not fade or peel from the substrate under normal conditions. Equally the colour and print on each and every garment is consistent. Garments also have the care instructions printed onto the garment eliminating those itchy tags.

THEIR USES
Although the design originated as high performance & fashionable dance wear, we found that our testers and early purchasers found an entire range of uses other than hours in the dance studio. They readily suit all kinds of indoor related exercise such as Yoga and Pilates. Then they’ve been seen as comfort wear for lounging at home or an early morning walk. Of course all our wearers enjoy the same experience and benefits as do the elite dancers at The Australian Ballet and abroad.
