ANOTHER ENERGY, Singapore Ballet

ANOTHER ENERGY, Singapore Ballet

In 2018, we had the pleasure of collaborating with choreographer Tim Harbour to provide costumes for Another Energy, a contemporary ballet created for Singapore Dance Theatre’s 30th Anniversary Gala. Judging by the photos—it looked divine!

Harbour’s creative vision aligned seamlessly with pieces from our Intersect collection, featuring clean, modern lines. Male dancers wore the Purple Intersect Unitard, while female dancers performed in the Green Intersect Leotard, with Black versions for the two leading women. Lightweight skirts complemented the women’s costumes, creating a striking visual contrast against the black stage and dramatic white bar light.

Following its premiere on July 27, 2018, Another Energy became part of SDT’s contemporary season, Passages, which celebrated three decades of artistic evolution. The program also featured works by Ma Cong (Shadow’s Edge) and Timothy Rushton.

While this production has since concluded, it remains a memorable moment in Keto’s history of collaborations with inspiring artists and companies.

(Excerpt from SDT website: “With every milestone in life, these three works represent an onward movement, a reaching towards a goal, a journey through phases of change and progression.”)
