Winter themed and inspired by Nordic landscapes, Finnish National Ballet’s new Swan Lake premiered in 2022 as part of the company’s centennial celebrations.

The famous ballet hasn’t been performed since the company’s first production 100 years ago and the latest iteration combines Tchaikovsky’s magnificent music with a visual world of iconic beauty featuring set and costume designs by Gabriela Týlešová. We worked with Gabriela to create unique textile prints that were used in costumes throughout the production.

This was another production that we worked closely with Gabriela to interpret and reproduce elements from her beautiful sketches. Yardage print repeats were developed, and specific placement print pieces engineered which also appear across an array of characters throughout the production.
